Care for the Carers

Support when you are supporting someone approaching the end of their life

Supporting someone as they approach the end of life can be one of the most challenging and important things we ever do. As someone is deteriorating, many unfamiliar things are happening, and knowing how to access the right help and support, is so important. I cannot give medical advice in this capacity, but I can help you to navigate healthcare services and advise you about what questions to ask.

I provide a safe, non-judgemental space to explore how you are feeling in relation to the person you are supporting. Often feelings are complicated and conflicted, as some of our habitual dynamics or coping strategies can intensify at this time of change and challenge.

Navigating the journey

I am passionate about providing people with the information and confidence they need to navigate the death of a significant person in your life. That will look different for every person, and every relationship, but there is so much we can do to reclaim this important rite of passage for ourselves and for our loved ones.

I work in person on the Isle of Wight and online, offering a one-hour session for £50. If this is unaffordable for you, please get in touch.

Please complete the below form to arrange a session.

Some of the things we might explore include (but are not limited to):

Practical care challenges
Navigating healthcare services
Medical confidentiality
Dealing with denial
Creating sacred space in healthcare settings
Avoiding hospital admissions
Making memories
Anticipatory grief
Coping with physical distance
Family dynamics
Funeral planning
Supporting children
